Ryan Scavnicky is the founder of Extra Office.
​
He received his Masters in Design Theory and Pedagogy with distinction from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles. He studied at DAAP in Cincinnati for his Masters of Architecture.
​
He has 8 years of practice experience in architecture at a wide variety of scales, from large international offices in Beijing, San Francisco, and Vienna to locally oriented practices in Cincinnati and Cleveland.
Ryan is currently teaching at Kent State University.
He has previously held appointments at the University of Cincinnati, the Ohio State University, the School of Architecture at Taliesin, and SCI-Arc.
